The clarity of a diamond is determined by the number and size of interior characteristics called inclusions and exterior characteristics called blemishes. Both inclusions and blemishes occur naturally in diamonds. The Federal Trade Commission has established standards of measuring clarity with 10 powered magnification.

At Barmakian Jewelers we follow that standard and detailed system of guidelines to show the number, location, size and type of inclusion present in a diamond.
